In July, the Kemptville Lions Club presented a cheque for $1,000 to Sarah ter Huurne of Camp Quality. Located in Lanark County, Camp Quality is a summer camp for children with cancer and blood disorders. The Kemptville Lions Club was the camp’s first supporter and has supported the camp for as long as they have been in Eastern Ontario. Ordinarily, the cheque would have been presented at the camp on a night when the Lions were serving a meal to the campers and staff. The camp was not held this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
