Stevens Creek Decor Centre is celebrating both their one year anniversary and their much delayed “grand opening” at noon on November 3, 2021 with a ribbon cutting ceremony attended by local dignitaries and business owners from the community.

Stevens Creek Decor Centre grew out of owner William Pearl’s window treatment business Stevens Creek Shutter Company, which was housed in a small space on Prescott Street in Old Town Kemptville. Covid-19 restrictions prevented any customers from visiting the tiny showroom so when William had the opportunity to lease their new storefront at 2678 County Rd 43, Kemptville, he jumped at the offer. Not content to continue offering window treatments only, William decided to branch out into other areas of home decor and Stevens Creek Home Decor Centre was born. Now the bright and airy showroom offers 100% Canadian made Cloverdale paints and stains, wallpaper and other products as well as a wide range of custom window treatments from shutters to drapes.

Owner William Pearl states, “We took a huge risk opening during the Covid pandemic, but this is an amazingly supportive community and we are so pleased to be part of it. The business is going from strength to strength thanks to North Grenville residents who want to shop locally and buy Canadian products.”

Customers who purchase a gallon of paint before November 15, will get a coupon for a jug of cider. This may seem like an unusual offer but harks back to the original founder of Cloverdale Paint, Rudy Henke. Mr Henke pressed cider on his farm in BC long before he started Cloverdale Paint in 1933 and would offer a glass of fresh cider to his paint customers. Stevens Creek Decor Centre wants to celebrate their new venture with this old tradition.
