Members of the Rideau St. Lawrence (RSL) Kings Major Peewee AA team stopped by the Kemptville Salvation Army last week with hundreds of non-perishable food items for the food bank.

The donations were collected at the association’s annual Kings Day held at the Ingredion Centre in Cardinal. RSL Kings AA Manager, Kristan Leach, says the purpose of Kings Day is to showcase all the Kings hockey teams with a full day of hockey games. While the event raises money for the association, they also ask all participants to bring a non-perishable food item. Kristan says this allows all the hockey players to play the game they love, while also giving back to the community.
