Mr. Gary Dyke brings 30 years of experience working in municipal government, including top positions in Kingston, Cambridge and Quinte West.

Mr. Dyke has demonstrated significant leadership skills in these various posts, and is well regarded across Ontario by his peers and other municipal leaders. Mr. Dyke is well known for his ability to foster strong relationships with municipal staff, and to build trust with community stakeholders. He has also served as the President of the Ontario Municipal Administrators’ Association (OMAA).

“On behalf of North Grenville’s Municipal Council, I want to extend a warm welcome to Mr. Dyke. As an agent of change and systems thinker, we expect to fully leverage his experience and knowledge of local government, both of which represent a tremendous asset to the Municipality,” said Mayor Nancy Peckford. “I would also like to extend our significant appreciation to Karen Dunlop for serving as Acting CAO during this transition,” she added. “It is clear that Ms. Dunlop is widely respected by Municipal staff and all of Council.”

A formal public introduction of Mr. Gary Dyke will take place at the Tuesday, December 17, 2019 Council meeting.

Mr. Dyke will serve as Interim CAO for the coming months as Council begins its search for a permanent CAO.
