Letter to the Editor – COVID-19 Vaccine

Dear Editor,

Recently, I went for my scheduled vaccine at the Kemptville clinic located in the Municipal Centre. The process was extremely efficient and the staff were very friendly.

However, there were several couples entering the injection space when only one person in the couple was actually scheduled to receive the vaccine. The “extra” person was not assisting his/her partner in any way, other than keeping them company during the injection process.

To me, this should not be permitted by the health unit. The extra person is occupying a chair that could be assigned to someone scheduled and waiting in line. Maybe one of your readers can explain the need for this additional person.
