The Leeds County Draft Horse Club (LCDHC) name will be added to Ottawa Regional Cancer Foundation’s ‘Cancer Champions Circle’ donor wall amongst other special groups who have given over $1,000 in a single year. In a letter to the club, Paula Muldoon, Director of Development for the Foundation, states: “The generosity of Leeds County Draft Horse Club through the Thresher event towards families facing cancer in our community signals you as a true Cancer Champion”.
LCDHC members, Pam & Roy Sherrer, co-ordinated the fundraising initiative and raised $5,000 for Breast Cancer Research by attending numerous events in 2019, including the Ottawa Farm Show, Threshing event for the Guinness Book of World Records, and Brockville’sTall Ships Festival.
