On October 3, intermediate athletes from several area schools came together at South Grenville District High School in Prescott for a friendly soccer tournament.
The soccer players came well-prepared and ready for a fierce competition. A start-of-day boys match saw the namesake schools of friendly neighbours North Dundas and North Grenville go head to head in a game that resulted in a victory for the latter. The players from both North Grenville District High School and North Dundas District High School played hard.
The weather was wonderful for an October day – sunny and warm. It was perhaps for this reason that so many parents showed up to watch the competition, as did several classes from the host school, SGDHS. There was a mix of both boys and girls teams competing, and the tournament lasted the whole school day.
Great job, athletes!
