If you dropped by B&H Your Community Grocer during the month of November, you will have noticed that their entire front entrance windows were wall-to-wall Kemptville District Hospital Auxiliary blue and white 60th Anniversary logos. Jim and Judy Beveridge have long been great Hey Day, Hospital, and Community supporters. When approached with the request to host a point-of-sale donation campaign, they were both optimistic and enthusiastic. Seems, particularly this year, that everyone has a hand out looking for donations in hard times, and we were concerned about charity fatigue. Well, the response from the North Grenville community has been electrifying in its generosity.
As a result of this generosity of our community, the Kemptville District Hospital Auxiliary was presented with a cheque for $6,500. This gift of giving by customers of B&H has helped build our annual donation toward the wish list of Kemptville District Hospital for meaningful patient related purchases not funded by government or large corporate sponsorship. Sincere THANK YOU to the staff and management at B&H for providing this opportunity to, once again, give back to our local hospital.
We are approaching the end of 2020, and without our major fundraiser, Hey Day, the annual contribution to Kemptville District Hospital, funded by the community through the Auxiliary, is a challenge.
We appreciate these contributions and your support. Thank you for finding it in your heart to share a toonie at the check out. Every bit helps, and, together, we will continue to participate in keeping Kemptville District Hospital an exemplary health care facility, providing care, comfort, and compassion right here in our own community.
