Too Young to Die: Canada’s Boy Soldiers, Sailors and Airmen in the Second World War tells the stories of underage servicemen.
Merrickville author, Dan Black, will recall some of these youths at the public meeting of Merrickville and District Historical Society on Tuesday, February 28, starting at 7 pm at the Merrickville Legion on Main Street West.
Dan co-authored the book with John Boileau, who also collaborated on their first book “Old Enough to Fight”, about the underage servicemen of the First World War.
In early 2015, Dan Black retired as the editor of Legion Magazine, where he wrote and edited articles on Canada’s military. John Boileau, a retired Canadian army colonel, has authored several books and magazine articles.
