by Mike Sutherland, President of Kemptville Soccer

Summer soccer is back and the Kemptville District Soccer Club is planning on returning to business as usual, with return to Development and Competitive leagues and to travel play.

It’s been a long two years, with the 2020 Summer season being cancelled due to the pandemic and the 2021 season having been played exclusively in an intra-Kemptville format, due to restrictions in place at the time that we launched the season. In 2022, we return to a full slate of U3 – U18 House Soccer, U9 – U12 Development Soccer, U13 – U18 Competitive Soccer, Women’s and Men’s House Soccer and our Women’s, Men’s and Old Timer’s (35+) Ottawa Carleton Soccer League play.

Whether you are new to the sport, or are a long time player, you are welcome to register for our upcoming summer season at:

Of note, U13 – U18 boys and girls evaluations are being held on Sunday, March 20, from 4:30 pm to 7:30 pm at the Ottawa Sooners Mega Dome in Stittsville. Please check out our website for more details and make sure to register.

A Club of our size can only deliver the quality programming that our Members have come to expect with the help of our passionate and dedicated volunteers.

We critically need referees this year. Our Club has lost about 2/3 of our referee base over the course of the pandemic, which has been a systemic issue across the province. These are paid roles. Please send an email to [email protected] if interested.

We will need team coaches, age group coordinators, and general volunteers to help coordinate at the field activities such as handing out equipment, directing players, and managing the player’s environment. Please send an email to [email protected] if interested.

Our Board has been running short-handed for over two years and, without more volunteers, we may be unable to continue delivering our usual high standard of programming. If interested in a Board position then please send an email to [email protected].

We look forward to a return to normalcy and we will see you on the pitch!
