Kemptville & District Home Support and the NG Times are working together on a new project to profile the seniors of our community. ‘Porch Pictures’ are photos, taken from outdoors, of seniors in self-isolation due to the risk of COVID-19. As this new normal continues in the coming months, there will be less physical interactions with the seniors in our communities. It is vital that seniors remain a visible part of the community. Maggie Boyer will be going out to take the photos and running a series of them in the Times.
We encourage as many seniors as possible to contact us to have their photos taken for this initiative. Sometimes, all of us can feel invisible, forgotten and isolated, especially these days. But this project will remind us all that we are still here! Whatever the restrictions on movement, we can still see and remember each other in pictures.
