Between August 20th and August 26th 2018, the Kemptville Office of Grenville County Ontario Provincial Police investigated 136 general occurrences: 29 Kemptville, 83 Municipality of North Grenville, 15 Village of Merrickville – Wolford and 9 on Highway 416.

During the night of August 22nd and 23rd, culprit(s) entered a vehicle and workshop on Sheppard Close, North Grenville and stole tools and equipment. On the same evening, a vehicle was entered at a residence on Flynn Road, North Grenville and cash and personal documents were stolen. The investigations are ongoing. On the night of August 23rd and 24th, culprit(s) entered four unlocked parked vehicles at a residence on River Road, North Grenville and stole money and a pair of New Balance running shoes. A second residence on River Road had three unlocked vehicles entered and a variety of items were stolen including tools, jewelry, personal documents and cash. On the same evening, culprit(s) entered an unlocked vehicle parked at a residence on Boundary Road, North Grenville and stole money. The other locked vehicles on the property were not entered or damaged. At a residence on County Road 19, three unlocked vehicles were entered and cash was stolen. Another vehicle at a home on River View Lane had an unlocked vehicle entered and a wallet and cash were stolen. On Flynn Road, North Grenville an unlocked residential shed was entered and full gas tank was stolen. Police also were dispatched to a theft of copper pipes from a construction site on County Road 43, North Grenville. The investigations are ongoing. On August 25th, culprit(s) stole cash and a rear licence plate from an unlocked vehicle parked at a business on Ryan’s Well Drive, North Grenville. The investigation is ongoing.

A vehicle with an unlocked door or an open window is an easy target. Protect your vehicle from theft. Always roll up your vehicle windows, lock the doors and pocket the keys when you park your car. Park in a well-lit area and never leave valuables in plain view. Anyone with information on the above occurrences is asked to call Grenville County O.P.P.
