Residents of Oxford Mills will soon be able to pick up their mail close to home again with the installation of two new post boxes.
One was installed this morning on Water Street while the other is located on Tilly Lane. People who used to pick up their mail at the convenience store will be getting their mail from one of the two community boxes. The boxes are not operational yet as the keys have not come in. As soon as they do residents will be assigned a box number (according to civic address) and key which will be handed to them when they pick up their mail at the post office.
You may need to do a follow up piece relating to Canada Post mailboxes …. 2 weeks after they open the community mailboxes … they are frozen shut!
I guess we will get our mail in the spring!
