The Municipality of North Grenville – in partnership with the Old Town Kemptville BIA and North Grenville Chamber of Commerce – is pleased to announce the exciting launch of new local pre-paid gift card program for exclusive use at local businesses.
“Now you can purchase North Grenville gift cards, just like a pre-paid Visa, and give the gift of buying local. This is an easy and seamless way to support our fabulous local businesses,” highlighted Mayor Peckford.
NG Gift Cards work like any other pre-paid Visa card – but only at participating North Grenville businesses. Further, the program offers a built-in discount where when you buy a $50 card, you pay only $45! A $25 gift card will only cost $22.50. You can check your balance anytime using the NG Green Balance Checker App which is available on Google Play or App Store.
A list of businesses that will accept NG Gift Cards is posted at www.loveng.ca. The gift cards offer shoppers an easy way to support their favourite local retail shops, beauty salons, restaurants, cafes and more.
“These pre-paid gift cards will make it so much easier for our local businesses. All they have to do is swipe and the money is in their account, just like a Visa. It also means no new machines or terminals, no new software, no new accounts to manage or track the activity,” said Meagan Cumming, Chair, Old Town Kemptville BIA Board of Management. “We are thrilled with how easy it is for merchants and customers alike to use these cards, and look forward to seeing how it will revolutionize the shopping experience in our Downtown!”
NG Green pre-paid gift cards can be purchased at the North Grenville Municipal Centre, Monday to Friday 8:30 am – 5:00pm. It makes a great gift or reward for staff.
This program is a part of the Local Business Support Programs created initiated by Council in response to COVID. Businesses interested in participating in the program can contact Matt Gilmer at mgilmer@northgrenville.on.ca.
Accepting NG Green Cards is no different than any other pre-paid cash card, however, businesses are encouraged to include their business on www.loveNG.ca to let everyone know you accept NG Green.
Residents will also be able to win NG Green Cards through online contests hosted on the Municipality of North Grenville’s Facebook and Instagram channels. NG Green will also be distributed through giveaways at random to people shopping locally.
