A brief summary of minimum wage increases since the Doug Ford took office in 2018:
2018: no increase
2019: no increase
2020: 25c increase to $14.25/hr
2021: 10c increase to $14.35/hr
Some might say that Ford’s recent announcement that minimum wage will increase to $15/hr on January 1, 2022 is a cynical election ploy, hoping that voters have short memories.
