Dear Editor,
I am writing in regards to a letter from March 3 about what to call the South Branch of the Rideau River.
I was born in Kemptville and lived in Oxford Mills in 1950, and that waterway was always called the South Branch of the Rideau. It has nothing to do with Kemptville except it runs thru it. It also runs thru Oxford Mills and up to Bishop Mills.
It runs off the south side of the Rideau, therefore it is the South Branch. I have lived in the area most of my life, and the ones that call it Kemptville creek live in Kemptville.
But this is North Grenville.
