Letter to the editor – Historical Society

Dear Editor,

David Shanahan’s article on Historical Society may have to move. The Society plays a very important part in documenting North Grenville’s history and sharing that knowledge. The old Town Hall built in 1873 next to our modern library may appear as an ugly duckling to many but the front section is an original solid stone building under a layer of grey stucco. It is a diamond in the rough. It has good bones and reflects the fine craftsmanship of 146 years ago. It is a Kemptville treasure and like many I feel it is part of our heritage.
