Church in the Park

On June 25, a group of Christians will gather in Maplewood Park in Oxford Mills to give thanks to God for his care and blessing over these past 150 years. We will also confess those mis-steps, some of which our governments have acknowledged through public apologies in recent years.

Dr. David Shanahan will share some reflections, based on Psalm 72. Volunteers from the Kemptville Christian Reformed Church will lead the worship, which will include a mix of contemporary songs, and hymns that our early pioneer settlers would have known and loved.

Everyone is invited to share in this community outdoor church service. And all are invited to stay for a strawberry social and potluck lunch. Bring a lawn chair and bug spray, and, if possible, a bit of lunch to share. And wear red and white. Rain venue – Kemptville Christian Reformed Church, 2455 County Road 18. For more info, go to
