On the Saturday after Labour Day, Nationview Golf Course would normally be busy with golfers playing in the Knights of Columbus Charity Golf Tournament. Golfers from around the region compete in a best ball tournament followed by dinner with live and silent auctions. Money raised in the tournament goes back into the North Grenville community to charities such as Canadian Tire Jump Start, Beth Donovan Hospice, Kemptville Home Support, Kemptville Hospital Foundation, Ryan’s Well, Naomi’s Centre, and others. The Knights of Columbus food bank has been busy assisting families and individuals who have been negatively impacted by CO- VID-19. The food bank continues to offer support to local families.

This year, as with many other charitable events, COVID-19 has dealt a blow to gathering for dinner and the fundraising auctions. The 15th annual golf tournament will have to await next September, 2021. In the meantime the local Knights of Columbus council wants to thank its faithful sponsors and to encourage the community to support them.
